Subject: Blog article on monitoring wells
As the author of the subject article linked in your blog, I am somewhat curious as to how, exactly, my article (from 2002) ended up both on your blog post (and in National Driller), without being properly cited. Since you are a graduate of OU with a BS in physics, I'm sure that you share the same commitment to professional scientific integrity as do graduates of OSU (from which I earned my MS In Geology in 1984). The full citation for this article (which is actually the 2nd of two related articles) is: White, H. (2002). Do Monitoring Wells Monitor Well? Part II. The Regulatory Basis for Monitoring Well Design, Siting, and Monitoring. LUSTLine, Bulletin 41, June, pp.17-20. The citation for first of the two articles is: White, H. (2002). Do Monitoring Wells Monitor Well? Part I. LUSTLine, Bulletin 40, March, pp.13-16. LUSTLine is the Underground Storage Tanks bulletin published by the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC). Their website (http://www.neiwpcc.org/lustline/index.asp) does not provide access to all past articles, hence neither of these two is available from NEIWPCC. I'm happy to provide you with the attached PDFs of both articles so that you might properly attribute these works on your blog.
