Timken roller bearings
Timken Roller Bearings re: Dempster vs. Aeromotor
There are a lot Aeromotor mills out there and if kept oiled they will last for many years. However, IMO the timken roller bearing makes Dempster a more reliable mill.
Understand a guy in California installs timken roller bearings in aermotor windmill heads.

Metal casing
Lots of metal cased wells ( thin wall) out there, many rusting out. Good time to put 3 or 4 inch PVC in and save well.

Aermotor oiler issues
The small diameter cylinder oiler the screws in under the plug on the hub picks up oil from the hub & feeds it back down a grove on the rabbit sleeve bearing to the head. If clogged oil will eventually leak from front bearing. Cylinder must be cleaned once a year. Use compressed air & kerosene---when you see it run back into head--it is clean.
